SAAS SEO Case Study
Background
This SAAS firm, offering high ticket item tool, engaged with A1 SEO in early 2022. The firm had gone through 5 quarters of negative SEO growth and was desperate to reverse the trend.
Strategy
Coming on to this project, A1 SEO knew that speedy delivery of tangible results was critical to ensure the continuation of the project.
A1 SEO ran a sitewide, in-depth technical audit to identify any technical issues.
A1 SEO also performed a deep dive index audit within Google Search Console to discover any inefficiencies within the site’s current index.
From there, A1 SEO gathered a list of website-critical “quick win” recommendations to brief the client’s development team.
However, the client had limited resources to carry out recommendations, so it was agreed that A1 SEO would have more control over some of the technical aspects of the website.
A full page-by-page content audit was undertaken, highlighting missing on-page opportunities at a page by page level, alongside completely missing clusters and entities.
The recommendations from the content audit were fed into a content plan that encapsulated every single page that currently existed on the website or was recommended for creation.
Next, A1 SEO’s in-house writing team began tackling this 400+ page website’s content – optimising pages where required and creating the missing pages and clusters.
Alongside content and technical SEO, A1 SEO did an off-page audit. The results were already solid – this website has a lot of high-authority links pointing to it.
However, the site was “home page heavy”, meaning that high-value internal pages that were driving conversions were not receiving any off-page efforts.
A1 SEO launched a highly targeted link-building campaign focusing on guest posts to power up internal pages, alongside a wider net digital PR campaign that focused on increasing the volume of higher quality links from trusted news websites.
During this ongoing project, the client re-platformed the website within WordPress to Elementor, and then reskinned the website. A1 SEO was critical in championing a phased deployment that did not risk the website’s existing URL structure.
